Hi! Here’s 10 things about me:
1. I graduated from College with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture in May 2009. It was the best day of my life! I’m glad to have finished that chapter in my life, but sometimes I miss living in a sorority house with 30 of my friends, going out on weeknights, and the rest of the carefree life that comes with college, mainly the part about having no bills!
2. I have a brother, 16, who spends most of his time playing for his high school golf team, hunting, or fishing. I also have a sister, 20, who is a Junior in college studying Business. My family has a beagle, named Sophie who lives at my parents house.
3. I was born and raised in Georgia, and currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I currently work for a quasi-Government type organization as an architect, specifically dealing with transportation.
4. I am a very creative person and I love to make jewelry and interior decorating. I plan to start another blog about my Do-It-Yourself creations soon! Be on the look out!
5. Some of the activities I enjoy are playing tennis, running, hiking, kickball, and really any other sport I can play outside. This past summer and fall I played on an adult kickball team. Unfortunately, I think we did better at the drinking aspect than we did at the kicking!
6. I have a few close girl friends, one being my roommate who I live with now! Most of my best friends, I met in my sorority in college. Unfortunately after graduation, four of my closest friends moved and now live in LA, Charlotte, NC, Clemson, SC, and Washington DC. Although it does give me an excuse to travel, I miss having them here!
7. Many people who meet me say I have an ‘old soul’. I think it’s just a nice way of saying I act like a grandma! A few grandma things I do: I go to bed early every night (a girls gotta get her beauty rest), I love to garden, and I like to clean! I know most of you will find these things weird, but that’s just who I am!
8. A typical weekend for me consists of going out with a big group of friends, working out, seeing my family, making a trip to the local Farmer’s market, cleaning up my apartment and lounging around.
9. I just realized my passion for cooking. It wasn’t until I moved out on my own that I really had the opportunity to try it. Although cooking is my favorite, I still enjoy baking cookies and desserts for my coworkers! I’m constantly surfing the web for new recipes. My mom is so proud!
10. Some things I would like to accomplish in the near future: Skydiving, getting a small tattoo on my foot (my mom is not so fond of the idea), running a 1/2 marathon. (I’ll keep adding)
